Description

A small, unfurnished room measuring just under 14 square metres is available in our lovely, Minergie-certified old building in Oerlikon.

The room is very quiet, gets morning sun and has a view of the backyard. The flat is on the mezzanine floor and has beautiful wooden floors that are over 100 years old, a cosy little living room with a projector and screen, an open and well-equipped kitchen, a large bathroom with a shower cubicle and a practical storage room.Unfortunately, there is no dishwasher, but we do have our own small laundry room with a laundry tower in the stairwell. In addition to the balcony, the flat also has a small garden with a fire pit, pallet lounge and three raised beds. Unfortunately, the street on which our flat is located is quite busy, but outside of rush hour, you can spend some wonderful time in the garden and on the balcony.

We are quite well connected by public transport: the 75 bus stops right outside the door and takes you to Sternen and Oerlikon station in 2 stops (or 10 minutes on foot). In just under 5 minutes on foot, you can reach the Waldgarten tram stop (7/9) and in 10 minutes on foot, the Salersteig stop (10/14). There are also many blue parking zones in the neighbourhood.

About the most important housemate: My dog Pixie is 12 years old, can no longer hear anything, but still has a really thick skull and, for her age, still has a lot of energy. She likes to test the boundaries with new people in her environment, but once that's sorted, she's a very entertaining housemate :) However, it is very important to me that you know what it means to live with a dog (hair, smells, barking now and then) and that you are comfortable with dogs, or – even better – really enjoy them. Unfortunately, no other dogs or pets are allowed to live in the flat besides Pixie.

About me: I am almost 33 years old and work full-time in marketing/communications. I travel a lot and often do sports during the week, but I also enjoy a lazy weekend at home. I am a vegetarian and care about the environment, politics and recycling. The appearance of the flat is very important to me and I would describe myself as organised, very tidy and clean.About you: Ideally, you are over 30 years old and have experience living in a shared flat. You are tidy and enjoy living in a nice flat. Ideally, you like dogs and are also a vegetarian. English speakers and weekly residents are welcome.

The room will be available from 1 December 2025. The rent is CHF 1100/month, excluding utilities. Recycling services, electricity and internet (fibre optic) cost approx. 75 per person per month and are billed every 3 months. There is no deposit as we have deposit insurance. Instead, there is an annual fee of 150 CHF per person.

Please write me a few words about yourself, what you do and what is important to you in everyday life in a shared flat. I look forward to hearing from you!
